COMMENTS AND REFLECTIONS
TCEP was a great leadership learning experience for me in my career—especially at that time. While not always fun, it was always rewarding and professionally satisfying. Being at the helm of TCEP at that time was a little humbling; you get assigned credit for accomplishments of colleagues that need no motivation. I forged lifelong friendships at TCEP in an environment that is not duplicative anywhere else. Because I was the TCEP president, I was shoved into other leadership positions (sometimes reluctantly) that opened more doors. I would not replace it with any other accomplishment of my life so far.
