Who we are: The Medical Student Council (MSC) is the a branch of TCEP led by  Emergency Medicine-bound medical students who work together to connect other medical students to opportunities and resources that will provide increased education on Emergency Medical topics, help them navigate the Residency Match process, and become more competitive EM applicants.

MSC Annual Events

TCEP MSC Colloquium

TCEP MSC Colloquium is an annual event, usually held virtually over one to two days in the fall. The 2026 event is scheduled for November 14-15, 2026. Speakers include PDs, APDs, faculty and residents from programs all across Texas. 

CONNECT 2027 

CONNECT is the annual conference where medical students, residents, attendings and more come together for two days of dynamic education, interactive workshops, cutting-edge research, and meaningful networking with colleagues from across the state. Save the dates for April 9-11, 2027 at the Margaritaville Hotel Lake Conroe!

Meet the Residency Series

The Meet the Residency Series in an online program featuring the Program Directors, Assistant PDs and other leadership from each of the Texas residency programs. Learn more about each program by attending online or watching the recordings. The 2026 series has concluded but check back next summer for the 2027 series dates.
