President's Message

April 2022

Craig A. Meek, MD, MS, FACEP
TCEP President

It is important for all of us to CONNECT. Studies of orphans who had limited contact with others show dramatic changes in their personalities and in their lives. In business the importance of personal relationships with people we work with has always shown heightened sense of respect, efficiency, and trust.

CONNECTion is important to us in our profession, in our personal lives, and in our growth. We have been through a long time of isolation due to COVID-19. On April 22 and 23rd TCEP volunteers and interested physicians throughout the state will CONNECT in Fort Worth Texas. At the beautiful Worthington Renaissance Hotel, we will obtain CME, listen to each other’s new and old ideas, grow as physicians, but more importantly re-CONNECT.

The amazing volunteers at TCEP are incredible individuals who value CONNECTing with you. These volunteer physicians work tirelessly for you and your patients, regardless of where you work or who you work for.  Personally, the friendships that I have fostered during my time here, are well worth every second of my time and work for the practice of emergency medicine.

If you want to meet some of these outstanding volunteers, who are leaders from around the state, come to beautiful downtown Fort Worth and CONNECT. If you are new to organized medicine, we extend our hand and would love to meet and help you get involved. If you have stepped away due to COVID-19, it’s time to re-CONNECT.

I know your work schedules have already been made. But I also know there’s somebody in your group that owes you, and you can work a trade.

Let’s all get off the zoom calls, dust off our clothes, and re-CONNECT!  It’s about time. I will see you in Fort Worth on April 22 and 23rd at TCEP CONNECT 2022.
