COMMENTS AND REFLECTIONS
Having the honor to serve as TCEP President was a great experience. I was surrounded by a terriffc staff and board. We were faced with signiffcant challenges but emerged much stronger both individually and organizationally. Some of the best memories are the post-meeting meetings; great friendships and camaraderie. It was fulfflling working with the Texas and US legislature on behalf of our members and patients. Our accomplishments included growth and expansion of the organization. Internally we updated the bylaws, modernized the office, grew the membership in all categories, continued ffnancial growth, and expanded our presence with inclusion of Free Standing ER's into the committee structure. Externally, we expanded our presence in organizations such as TAPA, the TMA. Overall, TCEP has been a home of professional development and personal friendships.
