COMMENTS AND REFLECTIONS
I originally became involved in TCEP as it provided a platform for the Academics of the state to meet, share problems and solutions and to gently advise the newer programs. With time, I joined in the wider concerns of the organization and enjoyed many years on the board and in the officer track. We had fun. I was famous for having a little impatience with the endless palaver in the board meetings. My president year, I announced that I would allow adequate discussion but would cut debate when focus was lost. I retained control for approximately 20 seconds after taking office and had to apologize to my predecessors at the end of my term.
