COMMENTS AND REFLECTIONS

Being a member of TCEP has been an incredible experience and created countless invaluable memories. My term as president gave me the opportunity to interact with many wonderful emergency physicians in the State of Texas and to hear their stories first hand. It created the opportunity to see and learn more about the passions and challenges of so many of our colleagues in a variety of work settings and to see creative solutions to some of the many challenges faced everyday by emergency physicians and our patients. Most of all, my experiences with TCEP provided me the opportunity to serve our patients and our dedicated group of Texas Emergency Physicians. I am left with the honor and privilege to count as mentors and friends some of the most incredibly talented, forward thinking, and hardest working emergency physicians in this nation, and of having had the opportunity to work with the most outstanding executive director and his team. These are people who are legends in the field of emergency medicine and their stories are the history of our specialty within Texas and the nation.
