I did get to help advocate for our physicians to get more PPE and was on CBS Good Morning and worked with the EM physicians who set up #GetUsPPE.org to improve the coordination and distribution of resources and PPE. ACEP has been working hard to keep our members updated on daily COVID information, fight for reimbursement for physicians on the front line, push the Joint Commission to issue a statement allowing healthcare workers to bring in their own PPE, and other advocacy work to support emergency physicians across the country.
