Eleven Regular Board Members serve staggered three-year terms, plus one-year terms for a Young Physician, Resident and Medical Student position. With the school year already started, the University of Texas Medical Branch’s EMIG kicked things off in high gear to have another successful year! Our organization is dedicated to promoting emergency medicine as a career by providing our students with shadowing opportunities in Houston and Galveston and ride-alongs with EMS in Houston, as well as hosting EM speakers from various programs in the state of Texas, skills workshops (airway management, ultrasound, etc.), service projects, and helping students get involved in EM on local, regional, and national levels...
